Purpose and Context

Scene Scape revolutionizes online video streaming by enabling friends to watch and interact with videos together in real time. It’s the ultimate platform for synchronized viewing and live commenting, bringing a new level of engagement to video content.

Problem

The existing online video platforms lacked the capability for viewers to engage with each other in a meaningful way during live sessions. Scene Scape addresses this gap by integrating interactive features that allow for real-time communication and collaboration.

Goal

The goal was to create an immersive environment where friends can come together to enjoy videos, with the added dimension of live interaction. Scene Scape aims to transform solitary viewing into a collective experience.

Visual Design

I crafted the user interface and experience to be as intuitive and communal as possible. My focus was on facilitating seamless real-time interactions that make every video session a shared adventure.

Early Ideation

The initial design phase focused on ensuring a fluid streaming experience coupled with a user-friendly chat interface. The challenge was to balance video and interaction without compromising either aspect.

Final Design

The final iteration boasts a sleek interface that promotes both uninterrupted video streaming and active participation in discussions, striking the perfect balance between viewing and interacting.

Future Steps

Moving forward, I plan to expand Scene Scape’s interactive capabilities, including emoji reactions, live polls, and customizable profiles, to further personalize and enrich the shared video experience.
